Home – COVID19 Update

SATURDAY 5.30 P.M. SUNDAY 8 A.M. 10 A.M. 5.30 P.M.

The good news is now N.S.W is 80% fully vaccinated we are permitted to have 220 people, based on  the square metre rule for each &  the  size of our building.

Following instructions from N.S.W Health congregation singing is not allowed.

Please ensure upon entering the Church, if you have the Service NSW QR app, that you scan the QR Code which is registered with Service NSW.

Also we can permit couples and family members to be together at Mass then there needs to be 1.5 metres space to the next person who is not a member of the family, provided we have no more than 220 people  inside  the  Church We will have chairs in the foyer appropriately spaced. There will also be some chairs in the Church’s covered extension.

Before Mass all are asked to use the sanitizer, and to take a bulletin. We will have ushers to guide people to fill up the places from the front so that we maximise the number of people inside the Church. Sadly, there must be no handshakes, no offertory procession, no Communion from the chalice or on the tongue. We must keep social distance, even coming to Communion. Please do not be at Mass if you are unwell. If you missed the chance to come to weekend Mass in the Church and are reading this bulletin at home, please help to bring family together for prayer.

Our Church building now is permitted to open at times for religious gatherings.

Now that N.S.W has reached 80% fully vaccinated, Good Shepherd Church is now able to celebrate Mass, Reconciliation and other sacraments, including Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals with limited numbers.

Whilst photos are usually distributed approx. 6 weeks after the last mass, due to the lockdown and government COVID restrictions, there has been a delay with the printing process as the professional lab that I use is not considered an “essential service”.
They too are abiding by Government restrictions.

Unfortunately, this means a delay in viewing and receiving your photos this year.
As soon as the lab re-opens and restrictions allow us to distribute the photos at the church, you will be contacted.
Apologies once again and Thankyou in advance for your understanding.
Please stay safe
